Beautiful album
I believe this album was originaly put out on china records which is the state run record company (who knew?). Proving that not every export of communism is drab patriotic state propaganda, this album takes old 78 recordings of chinese jazz bands and applys the remixers art transforming them into beautiful electronica. While some of the tracks can stray into the boring ambient new age sound that one associates with yoga/ meditation class, there are also some rythmic and melodic masterpieces in there.
