A great album by Linkin Park BUT this string arrangement has far too much violin for my taste. It comes out whiny and high-pitched, which can't convey the true rage and power of the real Linkin Park album.

Incredible

This album is simply incredible. It captures the power and intensity of Linkin Park, elevating it all above the anger found in Linkin Park's own music. Consequently, I enjoy it even more than I enjoy Hybrid Theory, which most of the songs are from. Even so, it also helps reveal the genius of Linkin Park, because it shows that even stripped of the rapping, this is fantastic music.

Great!

Its funny to see there are so many people who aren't able to understand the words "String Quartet" and "Tribute"... For me as Linkin PArk and Apocalyptica fan, this is a really amazing version of some beloved songs!

Linkin Park Tribute/and Site

redhand9

Frankly any Cheeseball who thinks "Every or Any Music Site" could ever be "Purr-fect" needs to put down their crack pipe... Frankly the Linkin Park Tribute is quite an artistic statement. However with a limited Musical Scope as to what constitutes Music and Can be Music on the edge have once again demonstrated their narrow mind set, railing against... that which they seek... Open your minds, as opposed to your pie holes. Having now done so, only proves at this point, your failure of any higher order of recognition by mammals…known as intelligent thought... Besides IS? Linkin Park...still Avant Gard or have they Sold Out to "The Man!" Will I find "Fiest" here? I don't know...but then I may find Someone just as amazing...

They Say All Music Guide

While this string quartet tribute to Linkin Park is entirely instrumental, it nevertheless apes LP’s main dynamic, which of course is the interplay of vocalist Chester Bennington and MC Mike Shinoda, supported by the shifting dynamics of the instrumentation. The inherent tension of the group’s best efforts — “Runaway,” “One Step Closer,” “In the End” — is matched in these arrangements for violin, viola, cello, and bass. The crushing, Pro Tools-tweaked production of Hybrid Theory and introductory Meteora single “Somewhere I Belong” isn’t present on this tribute. But it’s a credit to Linkin Park that its best material remains standing when the outsized vocal and guitar performances, burbling programming, and studio trickery it’s most known for are all stripped away. Essential listening for any fan. – Johnny Loftus
