Delicious

This album is fantastic and the perfect complement to pretty much anything. It's energizing, intricate and makes you think because you're like " That sound just went from where to wha??" F*&#^ in Rhythm and Sorrow is a delight.

Fell for Birthday

mikemos

i remember the first time I heard Birthday I fell in love with Bjork. Funny I didn't get her solo stuff until much later into her career. This is far from a perfect album. "Sick for Toys"? There is some great stuff on here though. The top 5 of the album, "Dues", and the delightful "Fucking in Rhythm & Sorrow"... I remember Delicious Demon sticking in my head. God I'm old. You don't like Thor? I remember wondering why he "sang" at all with a singer like Bjork. Like Cat Power having a grime-core singing along side. Why?

The song lyrics are interesting and Bjork sounds great! The only change I would make: I'd get rid of that guy who always seems to chime in at the worst time. Other than that, great album!

In the '80s, it was the home of pioneering alternative acts like the Pixies. Take time out today to celebrate the… more »

With strong songs built around Bjork Gudmundsdottir’s piercing, striking voice, this record lived up to all the advance hype. With songs like “Birthday” and “Motorcrash,” this is the perfect introduction to the ‘Cubes. – John Dougan
