Beautiful Chaos
At times listening to this album I have to stop and ask myself why I like it so much. Some of the sounds are objectively pretty annoying, but somehow this album manages to take all the distorted guitars, and throw away vocals and turn them into something that kicks the energy through the roof. At first blush it might sound like amateurish non-sense, but their sound is no accident. Songs "Crazy like a Bird" and "Sad Song" have some catchy hooks that would be at home on any indie rock track. All the rest might take a couple plays to warm up to, but they are just as solid.
