I was at this gig. In fact, this was one of the first concerts I went to. I was 15 years old and I was so pleased they served me beer at the bar that I would have remembered it forever anyway. They were awesome. Most of the band spent the entire gig pressed up against their amps and boy was it loud! I think I may have dived off the stage at one point. No one caught me :(. This is a terrible recording though. Download Taste instead.
This band is awesome, I saw them on this tour, though not at this gig. They were superb, a wall of tumbling crushing noise, like being trapped in a breaking wave of sound. Not until I saw MBV this year have I heard anything like it again. But it's a sound that doesn't translate well to record, and particularly not on this poor bootleg quality recording. If you were there, and this reminds you of the gig, then it's worth downloading, otherwise it's for completists only - anyone else wanting to explore the noisy side of this incredible band should download Taste.
