Surf music is a genre that is truly American, as in Southern California. But anyone who's ever ridden a surfboard or watched surf movies can dig it. I've had my eardrums blasted out from hearing Dick Dale from five feet away a bunch of times, and he definitely is the King of the surf guitar. But others who expand on the genre like The Volcanos are a welcome contribution to surf music that will keep it thriving. Hey, surf's up! Hop in the woody, and head down to da beach listening to da Volcanos!
