Great Covers CD
I am not usually into Covers, but this one really works for me. Great voice and great arrangements of some songs that you will know, and maybe a few that you haven't heard.
a little bit soft ...
I really love Thea Gilmores music - and was happy to see that eMusic has added the "Songs from the Gutter". But listening to this album I really hope that Thea is not moving towards soft fluffy synthie sounds. Esspecially listening to "The Old Laughing Lady" really hurts.
Impressive
This album is a complete contrast from Avalanche. If that album turned you off, go ahead and give this one a listen. You'll be pleasantly suprised. Hide N Seekin is by far one of the most upbeat songs and you may find your self singing along to it.
