Contrary to a claim made in another review here, these recordings ARE new. They were made in June 2010. Yes, some or all of the works have been recorded previously, but, uh, this is not unusual in classical music.

This is great music, and I love everything on this album. Before downloading, I simply didn't realize that this was a kind of 'greatest hits' collection, and that everything had been previously released. For that reason, this probably is a good introduction to the wide variety of music written by Arvo Part. But it should be avoided by anyone who has all or most of this music...
