Garbage

I found out this was Jim Jones's band before The Jim Jones Revue, and was hopeful that this would be equally as awesome. I listened to the samples and was on the fence, but decided to download the album anyways because of the awesomeness of The Jim Jones Revue. After a thorough listening, I've found that I wasted my downloads. This album sucks fully erect giant purple D's. Don't waste your downloads on this turd.

They Say All Music Guide

Thee Hypnotics have always sounded heavily influenced by The Stooges, and this album is no exception. But here, the band strikes a heavier ’70s classic rock stance, which is perhaps due in part to The Black Crowes’ Chris Robinson heading the production duties. What we get is the fevered guitar play of Ray Hanson with splashy guitar, organ, drum, harmonica, and piano pyrotechnics, mixed with Thee Hypnotics’ knack for extended jams and feverish riffs. The album is a finely crafted piece of classic rock, much more inspired than the last Thee Hypnotics album. – Matt Carlson
