Love these Darlins

Not as good as their first effort, but still excellent. Reminiscent of the Replacements - if the Mats were chicks and into country. My big problem with this album is the production. The producer gets 0 stars from me. It sounds like the band is singing and playing through gauze. With the Darlins, you want it to sound bare and raw, flaws and all.

Sharing made-up surnames and a rock 'n' roll wild side, Those Darlins defined themselves in their early days with a rollicking mix of garage, country and soul and a strict "no bullshit" demeanor.
