How to get rid of a TG record

avisby

In the early eighties I was working in an underground record store. It was the place to go if you wanted a TG record in those days. One day a costumer cam in, pulling out a copy of 32nd annual report and start complaining about what a load of crap it was. I was about to let him have his cash back, when the boss broke in, preventing the deal. Instead she started arguing with the angry costumer, clamming that he could get half the money back. The costumer angrily refused when, the guy pulled up a pack of cigarettes lighted up a match and without paying any attention, put back the still burning match in to the matchbox, closing it and putting it down on the counter. A split second later the matchbox exploded, sending a 0,5 m of flames and sparks in to the air. I grabbed coffee cup and put out the fire. The discussion was stop. All right, my boss said, here are you money! Well TG is a band mad in order to course controversy and even arson.

Good Stuff

Foetus300

But if you REALLY want to hear them at their best, get the 24 hour live box. It will change your whole attitude about music.

Masterpiece

TwistedFire666

I love TG and think they are the greatest ever and this album is a definite must if you are a fan. The only drawback is I found out after buying it here that when you purchase it off their site it includes a PDF but still worth it. Amazing.

Machrisod speaks the truth! Very important band. I can't wait to see them at Coachella. Will turn your brain into silly-putty!

if you don't know throbbing gristle, go out of doors immediately and spend the next 2 years of your life experiencing music and growing up. when you're all done come back and download this. the original gristle back performing in top form. it's a little like going back in time but taking a piece of the future with you.

This Is Your Life: Chris Carter & Cosey Fanni Tutti

By Luke Turner, Contributor

When Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti began collaborating more than 30 years ago, it was as founder members (alongside Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson and Genesis P-Orridge) of Throbbing Gristle, the first industrial band whose music and performance art — usually featuring pornography and bucketfuls of fake blood – was the very definition of challenging. Yet to think of Throbbing Gristle only as "wreckers of civilisation" (as they were branded by Conservative MP Nicholas Fairburn, in a… more »

The Left-Hand Path: eMusic’s “Digital Mystery School”

By Robert Phoenix, Contributor

If one were to look at eMusic's spoken-word section from an esoteric perspective, sifting through the speeches and poetry, they would be left with some golden nuggets of wisdom — some darker than others, yet all of them perfect additions to what I call the "digital mystery school." If one were to make a pilgrimage through this virtual temple, sorting through the various levels of initiation and revelation, how would it look? Who would be… more »
