The Silver Bow-a Treasure
Tom Anderson was a major force in the preservation of the fiddle music of the Shetland Islands. He taught many young fiddlers, among them Aly Bain and Catriona MacDonald, now giants in their own rights. This recording, released after Anderson's death in 1991, features Anderson and Bain (and others) playing all the major tunes of Shetland fiddle tradition. It is simply a treasure. Anyone interested in Celtic music should have this recording in their collection.
