Yuk!!!!!

MusicNote

Really, I know that re-recordings is a money decision. Have you no pride? I only listened to "Dizzy." Dude, you need a serious B12 shot--very lethargic. No better way to mess up your legacy. I get so angry with this sort of thing because it's an assault on my ears and I'll never get the time back that I wasted going through the tracks. No can download. P.S. To Mr. Ereliwine, I usually trust your judgment but you are dead wrong on this one. It's not good enough for the die hard fan.

Too sad

StratDad

Tommy Roe made some great pop records in the sixties, no doubt about it. Nothing earth-shaking, but good ear candy on the AM dial. He does himself no justice with this do-over. I guess back in the day, artists sold all of their rights away just to make a record, so now they re-record them and to try and make make some royalties. But this isn't the way to do it.

Empty & Hollow

jugaluck

If you don't know the difference between this empty & hollow version of "Dizzy" and the original, listen to the "vinyl" version on the youtube link and compare.

No Sheila

DirkSimmons009F0299

well you had a girlfriend named Sheila when this song came out I think 1962-63. so you want it. but the real one isn't here. no it's junk. but you still want the real one and woop, there it is on a K-tel compilation ...or is it?

Drum machines?

TEllett

Like the other review said, this ain't the real deal. There's obviously drum machines on this rip-off, which weren't around when the originals were recorded.

garbage

jwf

another one of these rip-offs. NOT the originals. Maybe it is Tommy Roe (i doubt it); but if so these are retreads. They even mixed up some artists here (such as Tommy James); so i really wonder where this came from.

MCA Special Products’ Dizzy is effectively a hits compilation since it contains “Sheila,” “Everybody,” “Sweet Pea,” “Dizzy” and “Jam Up Jelly Tight” — everyone of his Top Ten hits except for “Hooray for Hazel.” For most casual fans, that’s reason enough to pick up the compilation, considering its muy affordable budget-line price. – Stephen Thomas Erlewine
