A blink in time, forever remembered...
These folks were really something. In my heady days of the early to mid 80's as a popular DJ at a powerful college station, Translator provided the soundtrack for my friendships and heartbreaks. Of course, XTc , Roxy Music, Brian Eno, and countless others were contributing tunes to the compilation, too, but Translator disappeared while many of the others remained (and most disappeared with them). The music had some great unconventional hooks to it that seemed to make them listenable in the car driving home the next day as well as on the dancefloor in mid-week club spin sessions. Hearing them again is more than nostalgia, it is very reassuring that others found them worthy of being brought back. Long live our memories of music loved.
