all eternal things
like an old 80's melancholy uk cool dirge, this song brings me back to high school graduation many years ago and the pangs of lost friends and loves. To invoke that feeling is enough to be great in my book

I have to upgrade my review of this album, which I like a lot. Quite a few songs grabbed me right away, some took many listenings, being pretty slow. No 2 is too slow for me and one wish granted is just experimental sounds. The rest I'm happy to listen to, and have, many times. Robert Wratten is one of my favorite songwriters and is clever, he uses a top notch arranger. The sound is fantastic. The band's doing very well, evolving nicely. I love the preceding album as well; alive to every smile, looking forward to new album in march 07.
it seems ages since the beginning of the sarah records era but openning track "Helen reddy" reminds me of a blend of another sunny day with for keeps melodies putting things straight, time has passed, the world has changed, line ups have remained more or less the same and trembling blue stars are finally a brand name, call it twee pop, dream pop, indie pop, any pop will do, but they are in a league of their own, it's not innovation that makes them unique, it's not even sheer inspiration or even whistfullness, it's just that they are the soundtrack of eternal boyish charm and girlish magic,...you know youth, love lost among the sands, rainy afternoons of regret before moving on, new found love one sunny morning, bells ringing as you count your blessings, stop worrying for petty things, love, feel, embrace, shiver... get them now!
