Maybe the best twee album ever recorded
Twee pop isn't all kittens and ice cream sodas and beaches. I mean, that's a lot of it. But Tullycraft takes it further with this twee masterpiece. "Our Days in Kansas" explores a failed relationship (mentioning, oddly, the Russian ekranoplan along the way). "Stowaway" is a statement of purpose that you'll never be able to get out of your head. And Sean Tollefson's sense of humor is at its best here: in "Secretly Minnesotan," he sings, "Ricky says my band's just a Sebadoh rip-off, and I can't say I disagree." Hilarious, life-affirming, fun, and perfectly done.
