Great Cause, but a dreadful song

I really wish I could like this, but it makes my skin crawl. Doesn't even come close to touching "Do They Know It's Christmas".

Pretentious Crap

There are some great artists that sing on this song, but it doesn't matter. No one could have saved this song. It sounds like every one involved was putting in their time for PR purposes. I'll take "Do They Know It's Christmas?" over this one any day.

Beautiful song

Shows what we can do when we believe that we can make a positive change in this world and help others who truly need it. That is particularly why I will continue to buy those artists music - even if I don't like some of their releases. I can sleep easy knowing that I have contributed, in some way, to helping.

Love it

I loved it then and I still love it now, and for such a good cause. Why can't anyone get along and do something good like this again??

We Arw The World

This brings back memories. I remember watching the recording special on TV. Good cause!

Worth The Cause

This classic charity single "We Are The World" is a smash on all counts. You get to hear Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson, Huey Lewis, Kenny Loggins, Steve Perry, Bruce Springsteen, and even Dan Aykroyd perform at the same time. Charity singles suck nowadays, and they can never hold a candle to this.

Well, not so much

This is really just a shlocky reaction to "Do They Know It's Christmas?" from England. Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie were the driving forces -- warning enough! Interesting trivia point, Sir Paul McCartney is the only artist on both (so I've read).

Would love to see the whole album which was released at the time including the canadian tracks.

Memory Lane Revisited

This has to be one of the best collaboration songs ever made. Who else but all of these artists would put aside their egos in order to record a song that helped others. And they did it for free!

That's Right!

Some of Dan Acroyd's best work... Not to mention LaToya Jackson..
