Great single. Everybody's voice sounds cool. Rockin' tune with rock lyrics, tasteful guitar solo, Roth's vocal phrasing is right on and I can finally hear the bass guitar. Look forward to the album.

This is sad and pathetic. Hopefully the live show saves some dignity.

This song makes me miss Sammy Hagar or even Gary Cherone as lead singer.

Down In Flames

Classick-Rocker

This song is nothing more than a re-worked version of an old song called Down In Flames. They should have kept it that title since VH has gone down in flames so many years ago.

Even the album artwork on the new Van Halen song looks like crap. The snippet I listened to sounds even worst. A desperate attempt to reclaim past glory and a warning that often you shouldn't get the band back together...

The Politic Melodic: A Campaign Song History

By Yancey Strickler, eMusic Contributor

In ways that grow more important by the day, the 1972 presidential contest between incumbent Republican Richard Nixon and Democrat George McGovern has dictated the tone, style and execution of every election since. It birthed the modern-day primary format; it defined and honed the press 'approach to all political coverage; it featured the most effective use of the presidency itself as a campaign asset; and, finally, even in defeat, McGovern's campaign dramatically shifted every campaign's… more »
