I wouldn't buy it
I thought #9 had some merit. And also #4 was OK. But this is not a CD for dancers. I will agree that she has a good voice.

For those of you that have never heard Vanessa Daou's music this is a good introduction to her work. While later albums have a lot more jazz influence behind them, this one shows the early potential in the artist. Working with her husband they manage to create an aural landscape that is both energetic and calming. If you enjoyed this then listen to the albums "Zipless" & "Slow To Burn", both of which are considered definitive works for her.
