One Pleasure After Another

pldorado

This is all fundamental to the avant garde jazz vocabulary. Mostly great performances that remain vibrant and intriguing to this day. I almost gave it a 4 because one or two of the cuts are not as pleasing to my ear (a horn should never sound like a barking dog). But the overall effect was so good and the playing so innovative that a 5 seemed appropriate. This is living aural history.

I've waited years for this!

Clefnote

I hate to shill for a corporation, but way to go emusic! I had some of this on vinyl, and it got ripped off years ago. I couldn't plop down the bucks to re-cop the vinyl, but now I don't need to.

Indispensable!

Tom Storer

Great stuff here. A must-have if you want to know what the "loft jazz" scene in NYC sounded like.
