Winston's Essentials: A Polyvinyl Sampler

Dazed74

This is a Brilliant Sampler, I like every one of these tracks, highly recommended for all Indie music lovers.

not telling

Emby

Secrets is a kickass track.

Free...

Nigh10gale

Thanks, but no thanks. There are valid reasons these are little known artists.

user avatar

Not so bad, guys.

Casylia

There's a few I liked enough to keep. I actually like #12 a lot. *sways back and forth* Some of them are totally not my taste though, especially anything live - I don't care who it is, it all sucks. But, the point of freebies it to try to suit multiple people and get these little artists some notice. :)

Steady on!

Like Obscurebside, I don't understand why listeners are so appalled by this label sampler. It's a free sampler, for goodness sake! Some tracks are better than others; but that's the joy of a sampler. There are some nice tracks and I will be seeking out more Casiokids, Japandroids and Joan of Arc soon.

Free?! I demand more. And cheaper.

obscureBside

I previewed these tracks and found five I liked enough to download (4, 6, 11, 12, 15). Hearing them in full, I think they're pretty good, especially for free. I'm not sure why some of the reviewers here are so vitriolic. Maybe they have anger issues.

Odds and sods of new music, but its free

jolo

Nothing life changing here, probably good enough if you like hipster, indie music. If that isn't your cup of tea, probably you can save the internet a few bytes by not downloading this. There is always the preview option to get an idea of what this all sounds like.

A Social Microcosm

Win81749

As Comrade Standoff grasped so incisively, Comrade Winston's collection here undoubtedly is intended to test the download app, not to enrich our lives with new dimensions of aesthetic fulfillment. I urge you, comrades, to face the fact that this is what one gets when one asks for free stuff. Keep this in mind in the voting booth when you punch your chad for the next politician offering free goodies. -- Or, to put the matter perhaps more intelligibly, if you ask for stuff for nothing, chances are the stuff you get will be worth nothing. Alone the interminable intro’s to most of these “songs” should be declared a hazard by the surgeon-general. But don’t complain; instead, learn a lesson for life from this. I for one, shall use my delete function momentarily and then spend some money on music I like. Thanks for the fun, e-music‼

Wha'd You Think!?

STANDOFF

If you're of the notion that anything here that says "Free" might be worth checking out, you're more than likely mistaken. As far as I know, this album is only used to test eMusic's new downloader, v5, or whatever. Can't wait to listen to it! p.s. why are words showing up twice?

They Must be Kiddin!

Teak

Sounds like bunch of Mess. A pure waist of time and production.
