love the misplaced "they say" review. its so tongue-in-cheek considering the real contents of this album.

allow it to gentle twist your mind.

Although some tracks didn't appeal to me at first, I like the genre known as dubstep, and donwloaded these all. 2 years later, I must say Sub Version and King Midas Sound (tracks 2 and 10) are genius. Love this and Box of Dubstep 2 on my way to work in the morning, while reading, while showering at night. Infectious and gentle mind twisting.

The only worth a damn on here is the Burial track.

I actually haven't even listened to this one yet, but anything from the Soul Jazz label is a cause for celebration. Please, more more more!!!!!

They Say All Music Guide

This is a well-recorded set of drum rhythms performed by the drummers of the Societe Absolument Guinin in Port au Prince, Haiti. Close microphone placement on the drums gives each track a large, full sound, and as the polyrhythmic patterns emerge, you can almost hear the ghosts of melodies and basslines emerging as well. Fans of hand drumming will love this collection. – Steve Leggett
