If you’re looking for the infamous “Cha Cha Slide” song, this is where you’ll find it. At first a Chicago phenomenon, the Cha-Cha Slide began strictly as a dance until early 2000 when Casper wrote an accompanying song to go along with the dance à la “Macarena.” By early 2001, Universal had picked up the album for national distribution, igniting a small yet ultimately insignificant craze throughout mainly the Midwest. Besides the title track, there isn’t much reason to seek out this album since the rest is undeniably filler, including variations on the title track. Novelty at its best and most commercial. – Jason Birchmeier
