strut your stuff

TankTop

You can strut like a Philadelphia Mummer on this stuff, especially with numbers 5, 6, and 7....

While this compilation does contain good songs, the only way it could help filling the blanks is if you've been actively ignoring Italo Disco your whole life. This compilation is way too selective when it comes to the music style, focusing on songs that sound like recent releases by Italo aficionados such as Lindstrom & Prins Thomas. Similar bpm, similar cosmic vibes, and as such -- because of how limited this compilation is -- ends up being very disappointing. Yes, it contains many good songs, but calling this a compilation of "Essential Italo Disco classics" is absurd.

The artist/track listings

rocketsauce

here still appear to be mostly incorrect when compared with the Disoc Italia ep (available on emu)and the track listing of the cd version.

What's up?

I went to the Strut website and they're 13 tracks on the CD. Did Strut issue only nine tracks to emusic on purpose? Will you be updating the digital issue here to correspond to the CD? Also I noticed the same discrepancy with the August Darnell CD and the tracks here on emusic.

Problems

WeAreGlass

Track #3 is definitely not Flor de Coca, in fact none of these tracks are. I checked Amazon and they have the same tracklist and same incorrect songs, so we shouldn't blame eMusic, apparently the label chose to distribute only some of the songs digitally and botched the tracklisting.

good sounds

Pleasantly surprised. Some decent tracks here. Track 2 is my fave right now.

Mismatch?

MK47

Have read some reviews on this album and tracks the reviewers refer to don't seem to be on this version on eMusic. Any ideas why not?
