Best compilation I've heard in a long time
Usually the idea of a compilation is something I steer clear of - too many out there that just come across like random grab-bags of poorly sequenced music put out by record companies as nothing more than promotional vehicles. But this set is cut from entirely different cloth. A beautifully eclectic assemblage of music featuring (but not necessarily showing off) piano, largely in idioms best described as electronica, though there's a lot of variety here, it doesn't come across as random. For any of you who liked the Alva Noto/Ryuichi Sakamoto collaborations you will LOVE this. Not that the music sounds the same, but the aesthetic of piano with electronics in a forward thinking modern sense will definitely appeal. Five stars all the way.
