Good music, bad recording

What my title says. The orchestra plays wonderfully and the music is great, but... this encoding is HORRIBLE. Sounds like an LP recorded onto cassette and then converted to mp3, all by holding the recorder up to the speakers to do the transfer. Who is responsible for this??

The orchestra does a great job of playing these waltzes. If you want to uplift your sprits then I'd recommend listening to this recording. It sounds a bit dated, but the music is played with such togetherness and spirit that it more then compensates for the occasional raspiness.

You can tell it's a great performance. You just can't tell how great, because the high register is so muddy. Not a great recording.

Sure, Warner Brothers wasn't the only animation studio that married cartoons and classical music.
