I listen to a lot of Vivaldi and this album is brilliant, full of emotion and life.

Very good Vivaldi recording
I admit to never hearing of Viktoria Mullova before, but Il Giardino Armonico is one of my favorite baroque ensembles. I had despaired of ever seeing them on eMusic - but, alas, here they are! And this recording with Mullova is a worthy one indeed. The reviewer below hits the nail right square on the head - "Vivaldi with passion" - but you wouldn't expect otherwise from Il Giardino Armonico. Vivaldi with passion!
I love this CD. The playing is superb. Mullova and Il Giardino Armonico play with such passion and commitment. The quick movements fizz and zip; they have edge and drive; they sparkle with vitality, vigour and virtuosity. The slow movements vary in mood and provide moments of calm and reflection.
