Young & Freeman

KevinP

The title Young and Foolish is perhaps a play on John Young's name, but it suggests this album should have been co-credited to him. A great pianist whose decision to stay in Chicago prevented him from becoming as well knows as he deserved, he is in fine form here. Most of what he recorded under his own name sounds tame, but this album captures him live and doing what he does best. I don't mean to slight Freeman's work here (they are good friends), but his work is easier to find. So good I hunted down the CD after I downloaded it here.
