too mp3-ish?

starbearer

I love the songs. The production though... Am I hearing a bad upload from the artist to Emusic or was this stuff recorded and bounced down to 2005 cell phone quality mp3? Because streaming the 30 second sample sounds like sh*tty mp3 quality and my download sounded like that too. Anyway... I like the songs, but this broken up mp3 sound you hear on the upper band frequencies sounds like poop.

Feel It All Around

Kneon

I've been waiting for a song to be able to pierce through my thoughts as a person in general, but this very song goes the distance and beyond. The vocals are tremendous!! Bravo!

Moody

OneWordIsEnough

Moody and evocative mellow synth grooves. A romantic heart beats underneath the electronic sheen.

Music with a buzz.

joeyjojojnrshabadoo

I had downloaded this many months ago but didn't give it a listen until I went searching for the song playing during the opening credits of Portlandia (Feel It All Around). The album is short, sweet and a great vibe. If anything, it's perhaps a bit too short as they seem to have a tough time figuring out how to properly end a song.

Laid-back excellence

ngw1875

This is a fantastic e.p. The music has a genuinely warm and glowing feel to it. The tracks really do hook you in and the overall laid-back feeling of the production moulds everything together perfectly. Easily one of my favourite albums this year.

Miami Vice

s.a.smith3244

Synths, harmonies and a lot of reverb. A WHOLE lot of reverb. Worthwhile though, if you like any kind of electropop.

Don't let your friends know you missed out on this one. It's already kinda too late.

Superb Synth Pop

EMUSIC-02159606

Washed Out blurs the lines between 80's pop and a hazy sunshine afternoon. The melodies are somewhat hidden behind the overlapping beats and synths, but soon creep and infiltrate your head in no time. All of the tracks carry an interesting sound and flow well together. Feel it all around has to be my favorite among the six songs, it's so laid back, reminds me of floating through dreams.

WoW!

EMUSIC-1967

It is like I have taken a car back to 80's. This does sound like music Naked Eyes did. Not the singer. I like it in a..."I remember 1985 very well". Get it and go back to the future!
