Great backing tracks
Loved the production on this LP, great bass, drums, keyboards. Kissing with... is smart pop music. The title track is ace too. There is an instrumental 12 inch version elsewhere on emusic which is well worth downloading.

I'm amazed this album is here. It's nowhere near being one of my favorites, but it is unique and has a couple great tracks. Caveat: I downloaded track 1 twice (to confirm)--it's got a glitch about a second in as it fades in. Bummer. BTW, if you really want to spend real money on the CD, it's available on CD Baby.
This quirky album took a while to grow on me (see Ira's critique below, with which I agree), but I have been looking for this album on CD for year without success. BUT now it's here on eMusic - yippee! This is definitely the original recording too! The cast is amazing, and apparently organised by Lyn Goldsmith?! As Ira Robbins has written (http://www.trouserpress.com/entry.php?a=will_powers) " ... this strangely strange album clearly exists in a weird league all its own. Simply outlined, it consists of New York photographer Lynn Goldsmith reciting motivational self-improvement exhortations and emotional psychodrama, mostly in a synthetically altered ersatz-male voice, over busy dance music co-written variously by Sting, Steve Winwood, Tom Bailey, Nile Rodgers and Todd Rundgren and performed by an uncredited crew …. A phenomenal exercise of super-ego, this is both a Great Artistic Achievement and an unbelievably smug heap of horse puckey."
