Another Outstanding set of songs

Hoofprints

This band has its sound down pat. The style they use on songs like Let the Lead Fly and Cracks and Seams is a sound and style they do better than anyone else right now. Everything fits together really well and they can change tempos and build up a lot of energy. I downloaded 8 songs (all I had left) and I will come back for a couple more. Any album that has that many good songs is a top notch hit. This deserves a serious listen.

Another sweet album

WNM just keep on cranking quality songs and records after records. These guys are really good song writers. They have so many tunes that I feel are classic. Even their filler tunes are better than most Alt-Country acts.

One of the best of '09

JDC.Aggie

I've always been a WNM fan and was really looking forward to this release. Not really that different from their others, and I like it that way. Title track is great, as are many others. I can't get Catfish and Color TVs out of my head.

Wrinkle Neck Mule's serve up quality tunes again

CRAY

These guys are better than most of the regional bands they would compete with if they got out and played more. With most of the band holding down full time jobs outside of the band, I have long said this bands appeal is only limited by the number of live shows they perform a year and not their level of talent. As for the album, great lyrics and great sound. It is easily worth a complete download.

OK, but nothing new

If you liked the earlier releases, you'll probably find a couple good tracks here. Seems a bit looser, twangier, and more 'countrified' than the earlier alt-country albums. The '07 release,The Wicks Have Met , was to me their best effort.
