Love Songs is fabulous
Yanni's music is great to relax to, as well as to be with someone special. He should write more music like this album.

Even if you don't like Yanni...
You will like this music. I admit to being put off by his public image and showboating. But - gosh, this is a really good album. I have given it as gifts and even those who crinkled their noses at the thought of slipping a YANNI CD in their player had to come back and thank me. Just nice interesting pieces that play well in a lot of environments. My personal favorites may not be yours, but there isn't a clunker in this album. Go ahead, give it a try. See if you can supress your amazement.

Goodbye New Age

I recently read a piece online that deconstructed author Marilyn Ferguson's Aquarian Conspiracy, a seminal work charting and celebrating the integration of New Age culture into mainstream culture. The author, however, was not kind to Ferguson, nor to the movement in general. He saw it as latter-day manifestation of ideas put forth by HG Wells and his "Fabian Socialists."
