This guy is the real deal. We have seen him live 4 or 5 times now (in recital and with an orchestra) and I can tell you he is nothing short of stunning. This guys plays like the great pianists of the past (Richter, Horrowitz, etc) without all the ridiculous antics of say Lang Lang (whom I cannot stand). This cd, the Rachmaninov, and the Scriabin are must buys as is the Beethoven Piano Concerto #4 & #5 with Vanska.
