Great recording of a unique band
We saw Zazou twice at Folkfest in Seattle in 2008. The first time we stumbled on them casually set up next to the sidewalk under a tree. We stopped dead in our tracks, caught by the spirit of Django, Paris, and every tight band you've ever heard. Later that day we saw them on a stage in a large hall, playing music that propelled 2,000 people across the dance floor. The recording brings it all back, wonderfully, and I highly recommend it. They sound very tight, but that's not studio magic; they really are that good. I don't know the rest of their repertoire, but this is a nice mix of styles, tempos and textures, and features the individual musicians nicely.
