They Say All Music Guide

Atma-Spheric Surfaces is more deep minimalism from Zero Ohms (aka Richard J. Rogers). He has developed a unique and warm style that draws his listeners toward the inner circle. Once there, Rogers takes on the role of storyteller. The imagery is that of a shaman educating and healing his protégés while sitting in a prayer circle or dream circle. The minimalist soundscapes and atmospheres are friendly and inviting. Rogers embraces the philosophy of “I’ll see it when I believe it” — the boundaries of human possibility are only those set by imagination. This CD will appeal to fans of Numina, Isomorph, James Johnson, Jeff Pearce, Stephen Philips, and Diatonis. It is essential e-music. – Jim Brenholts
