William Orbit called...

Zrath-Smiley

...And he said "knock it off!". :D Yeah, several tracks on this album are reminiscent of Mr. Orbit's style, which is not a bad thing really. This album ain't too bad. It will certainly motivate me to see what else Zero One has available.

Listening to it all the time

Great album, Transformation particularly good. Highly recommended.

Alocrius

I would like to hear their other more experimental album. They have potential to groove but missed the mark by a little here with too many hokey sounding elements. If they tightened it down a little with a slightly more diverse palette or funkier edge they would be on the cutting edge. The voice samples were cheesy and overdone. Megalomania was the highlight for me.

Not my fave Zero One, but a viable work

pastelpunk

As I stated in the title of my reveiw, it's not my fave work by Zero One, but this is definitely a work that deserves respect. Psy-Fi has a feeling of " Okay, I did what I wanted to do, now let's go toward the mainstream" kind of vibe throughout the whole collection, whereas earlier works such as Prototype Two have a much more spontaneous, experimental feel. It is a good collection, however, and worth the money.

worth the download

great chill/dub music, consistently good from start to end. I still listen to this quite often.

very nice

Enough musical changes to keep my brain interested without so many that it becomes annoying or so few that it becomes boring. One of my favorites.

Returning

The good thing about this album is the consistent chilled electronic vibe that grooves along for the duration. New melodies and sonic fx come and go at a relaxed pace giving you just enough audio stimulation to keep you in the mix. As with all the best music the secret is in the spaces and the field is never to crowded. A nice bit of Psy-Fi for the Hi-Fi.
