Biography All Media Guide

Bloomington, IN, native Dave Fischoff began his solo career in 1994. His Untitled cassette was released by Secretly Canadian in 1996; a full-length CD, Winston Park, was put out in June 1998, and Fischoff toured in the U.S. as well as the Netherlands that year. A sophomore studio effort, The Ox & the Rainbow, was issued in early 2001. It would be five years before Fischoff would issue another album, for the singer/songwriter moved to Chicago to begin work as a librarian at the Chicago Public Library. Fischoff also began experimenting with electronic and hip-hop beats, and his long-awaited 2006 effort, The Crawl, reflected his hypnotic new sound.
