The Hunches was a garage punk band from Portland, Oregon. The Hunches comprised bass player Sarah Epstein, singer Hart Geldhill, guitarist Chris Gunn, and drummer Ben Spencer. The band's albums were released by In the Red Records, while singles and contributions to compilation albums were released by several recording labels. The Hunches disbanded in 2009.

Between 2002 and 2008 the Hunches released three studio albums to a generally positive critical reception. The group was frequently described as reflecting the influence of the Velvet Underground, the Stooges, and the Jesus and Mary Chain.
