Emerging from a Philly/South Jersey roots music scene that has produced groups such as Marah and Frog Holler, singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Gillam released his debut album, First of All, in 2000. He followed that effort with Dallas, a popular Americana charts album, in February 2001.

Dallas, released on Gotham Records, showcases Gillam's distinctive slide guitar. It was recorded with his touring band, Tractor Pull, and produced by that group's Joe Carroll at Carroll's home studio in Philadelphia. Gillam has toured throughout the U.S. and shared bill with artists such as Son Volt, Tom Petty, Garth Brooks, and Dave Matthews Band.
