All Music Guide:

The Gun & Doll Show was formed in San Francisco in 1993 and quickly became known for the unexpected twists to their live shows (such as performing with military cheerleaders or appearing out of a large cherry pie). Their initial release arrived in 1998 in the form of Working On The Bomb, which earned kudos for their melodic, punk-tinged rock and ability to deftly blend political subject matter with more mainstream lyrical ideas. A live release, New Blood – The Gun & Doll Show Live, arrived in 2000 and as the band prepared for a new album in 2002, the lineup consisted of lead singer Killer Mac, guitarist Megan McCoul, bass player Darren Cassidy, and drummer Johnny Layout.
