Amy Speace is an American singer-songwriter from Baltimore, Maryland, who is a former Shakespearean actress notable for her critically acclaimed music. National Public Radio described her voice as "velvety and achy" and compared her to Lucinda Williams. The singer was based in Jersey City, N.J. but has moved to Nashville, Tennessee. Her music is receiving positive critical attention. Speace's song, "Weight Of The World", has been covered by singer Judy Collins on her 2010 album "Paradise". Her albums are entitled Land Like A Bird, Into The New (EP), The Killer In Me, Songs for Bright Street, and Fable.
