Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad is a jam reggae band based in Rochester, NY founded in 2004. The group started touring nationally in 2006.

The band's debut album "Slow Down" was released in 2006 and received regular airplay on Sirius and XM Radio. The album was recorded, mixed, and engineered by Alex Perialas at Pyramid Sound Studios in Ithaca, NY.

The band has been noted for their live shows, which are often recorded by tapers and posted on Etree and Internet Archive. The band's "Live At The Aggie Theatre" show on November 11, 2006 has been downloaded more than 52,000 times and collectively their concerts have been downloaded more than 150,000 times on Internet Archive.

Now, 767 concerts since the 2006 release of their debut album Slow Down, GPGDS is set to release a new album, Country, on January 31, 2012, on the California-based label Controlled Substance Sound Labs. With this release, the quintet has charted new territory and put together a lyrically-driven roots Americana album.

In the spring of 2012, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad released a full electric album, In These Times. The psychedelic roots sound is more familiar to fans who have gotten to know the band through their concerts and live recordings. Controlled Substance Sound Labs released Country on January 31, 2012, and In These Times on April 10, 2012

The band was featured on National Public Radio's "All Things Considered" on January 28, 2012 at 5pm EST.
