Menace Demarco, is an american rapper from Olympia, Washington. In 2009 he moved to Southern California to escape the revolving doors of the prison system that for so much of his life thus far, he had frequented, and to also put himself closer to the entertainment industry of Los Angeles. In 2010 Menace was approached by the C.E.O. of a company called Platinum T. Entertainment, and offered a distribution contract for his music to be published through UMG. Obviously being new to the music industry, he signed the contract without properly understanding what it meant, and without the advice of an attorney. On sept. 7th, 2010 he released his 1st single through PTE called "No Mo Freebies," which he was then made to edit to conform to the labels publishing standards, effectively taking the original Hip hop song, and turning it into a 'pop' single. Throughout the 3 year period of time he was signed to PTE, he released 3 more singles, (Incredible Hulk feat. Cyrus, Club Banger, and Turn Off the Radio) all of which he was made to rewrite, and change, in order to satisfy his contractual obligation to PTE. In 2012, Menace had had enough, and his contract was up. He left PTE to pursue his music career on his own, and vowed never to change his music for anyone elses standards ever again, no matter the circumstances. In january 2013 he met with the C.E.O. of Wright Records LLC, Nathan Wright (son of Frank D. Wright of the well known band "Chicago"), and released the single, "California Sound" through Wright Records. This was the first song that he was able to release without any censorship or changes to his original lyrics. After getting a taste of what it was like to be able to speak his mind without the fear of being held in breach of contract, he decided to create a mixtape called "Tattoos & Fu** You's," to mark the beginning of his Independent Music career, which is set to be released in October 2014. Menace Demarco has worked, performed, and networked with many Successful up-and-comers in the Underground Hip Hop Scene, such as; Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton, Rittz, Andre Nickatina, Chucky Chuck (D.G.A.F.), So Cal Trash, Anilyst, Jelly Roll, and Jackie Chain to name a few. He has also been seen working with Greg Kirkpatrick of the Metal band "As Blood Runs Black, showing that he is willing to push the boundaries of Rap music into Metal. The Name "Menace Demarco," originates from two sources, one, being his father, (Raymond E. Demarco), and the other "Menace" , came from one of his many prison stays, where a convict with a life sentence, gifted him the name "Menace", describing him as the 2008 version of the fictional comic character "Dennis The Menace," due to his wild personality and antics.
