Biography

Adam Forkner was a founding member of Yume Bitsu and Surface of Eceon, and also recorded and engineered artists at K Records' Dub Narcotic Studio, including Calvin Johnson, Little Wings, Wolf Colonel, Greg Weeks, and Kinski. His solo album, [[[[VVRSSNN]]]] (pronounced "version"), combined electronic sounds with vocals and guitars, blurring boundaries between techno-pop, pop/rock, and (particularly in the lengthy instrumental passages) new age music. Among the contributors and collaborators on [[[[VVRSSNN]]]] were several other figures of the independent scene, among them Calvin Johnson, Dave Longstreth, Jeremiah Green and Eric Judy of Modest Mouse, Phil Elvrum of the Microphones, and Franz Prichard of Yume Bitsu.
