Biography

Irish singer/songwriter Adrian Crowley recorded his debut album, A Strange Kind, in 1999 after he'd spent a year living and performing in Toulouse, France. The album was self-released to little fanfare, but nonetheless attracted the attention of local music publications, and the video for the album's opening song, "Capricorn," soon saw regular rotation on the television show No Disco. A year later, Crowley worked with producer Steve Albini on his follow-up album, When You Are Here You Are Family, which was recorded at Electrical Audio in Chicago. The album was released on Ba Da Bing! Records, along with a reissue of A Strange Kind. Crowley then spent 2003 on tour throughout the United States, returning to the studio in 2004 to record A Northern Country. The album was subsequently released on Ba Da Bing! and on Misplaced Music in the U.K. Three years later, Crowley released his fourth album, Long Distance Swimmer.
