Biography

Muncie, IN-based trio Arrah & the Ferns is an indie folk-pop band whose songs feature a unique combination of Wurlitzer organ, "banjolin" (half violin, half mandolin), and tender vocals. The spontaneous formation of the band happened when Arrah Fisher and Carl Stovner signed up for an open-mike night before they even had any songs written. They convinced friend Dave Segedy to join them and soon Arrah & the Ferns were born. Their first album, Evan Is a Vegan, was issued in August 2006 by Standard Recording Company.
