Biography

Arthur is Adam Cresswell (formerly of Saloon), and Martha is Alice Hubley (of the Duloks). Together they are Arthur & Martha, a duo whose lush, spacy, Moog and melodica-driven dance-pop, rooted in acts like the Postal Service and Stereolab, placed them in league with early-2000s groups like Cut Copy and the Bridal Shop. Having met in 2002 via their respective bands, Cresswell and Hubley teamed up after Saloon called it quits in 2003. Their debut EP, Autavia, was released on Happy Robots Records in 2008; the disc earned favorable reviews from NME and IndieTracks. Arthur & Martha's debut full-length, Navigation, came out on that same label one year later.
