Biography

Taking their cues from the riffs and choruses of pop-metal, Boston musical collective Bang Camaro started as a labor of love for guitarists Bryn Bennett and Alex Necochea of Model Sons and Bleu and the Good North, respectively. After bonding over a shared love of Ratt and Dokken (among others), the duo embarked on a project that would emphasize guitar solos and rousing refrains while abandoning verses; their cause eventually swelled to include three guitarists, a bassist, a drummer, and as many as 20 vocalists (all credited as lead singers), who referred to themselves as "the Choir." After releasing their self-titled debut album in 2007, the group embarked on a U.S. tour in 2008, including a stop at Lollapalooza.
