Biography

Consisting of London DJ/producer/A&R man Paul Martin and the prolific French-born Alex Attias, Beatless make pithy world-influenced lounge music in the vein of Jazzanova or Brommage Dub. The band's synthesis of jazz, soul, breakbeat, and Afro-Cuban rhythms sparked interest in the often-conservative world of British downtempo, with an early single "Latainaire" initiating Ubiquity Records' acclaimed and influential New Latinaires series.
