Biography

This band features members of Rocket From The Crypt, PeeChees and Red Aunts. In the fall of 1998, Beehive and the Barracudas recorded its debut album Featuring The Insects. Originally set for release on Flapping Jet, a dispute led to the album being shelved for some time. Some of the songs were released online and the reaction was quite positive. When not performing with their primary bands, Beehive and the Barracudas performed around the San Diego area. In July 2001, Featuring The Insects was released on Swami Records. The group's second effort, Plastic Soul w/The White Apes, was released in October 2001. Beehive and the Barracudas perform a classic style of garage rock mixing guitar rock as well as soul.
